You CAN do yoga. And you should. So you can become more flexible.
Why is flexibility important?

STRENGTH
BALANCE
POSTURE
MUSCLE COORDINATION
Anddd reduces the risk of injuries and muscle soreness. Flexibility even leads to a better overall “shape”.
There are a variety of styles and types of yoga classes. You can find a class that's right for you… right now! As you practice and progress, the type of yoga and class you want to take may change. And that's great! It means you're growing. Everyone has to start somewhere. Luckily there are plenty of great classes at the Salty Buddha Yoga Studio that you can start with. Let's look at a few classes that are suited for beginners or those new to yoga!
Gentle Yoga: Is especially good for anyone who wants a slower paced, less strenuous class.Open to all levels, our Gentle Yoga class is designed to connect breath, alignment, and mindfulness with basic yoga postures. Restorative Yoga: Take time to relax, refresh, and renew! If you’re working with injury, illness, or just suffering from a busy mind, restorative yoga can help to soothe your thoughts, encourage inward focus, and allow your body to heal. Slow Flow: provides poses that range from gentle to challenging, but done with stable, self-centering energy. The pace of these classes is understandably slower and emphasis is placed on safe alignment and the maintaining balance of the slow breathing. The toned-down speed of these classes does not, however, mean that the poses are any less beneficial for building strength, stability, and postural integrity than other styles. This makes it particularly well-suited to newer students, or for those who desire deep concentration within their practice, most conducive to Slowing Down.
